What you’ll do
Lead and support engineering process improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
1) Develop methods, tooling, and techniques to continuously reduce the time and effort involved in setting up and changing over manufacturing equipment.
2) Modify manufacturing processes for safety improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction, or design changes.
3) Achieve financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of the budget, scheduling expenditures, managing project budgets, and initiating corrective actions.
4) Manage capital projects, including development of equipment specification, coordination of equipment runoffs, installation of equipment, and management of external contractors.
5) Update and maintain drawings for production equipment, including layouts.
6) Develop engineering solutions for repetitive equipment/process failures.
7) Assist in identification of departmental training requirements and may provide the training for improvement of skill levels.
8) Review, recommend, and coordinate TPM, PM< Proactive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and maximize equipment uptime.
9) Manage external contractors involved in process/equipment improvement.
10) Work closely with all levels of the organization to improve manufacturing equipment and the production process.
11) Lead Kaizen activities and document results.
