Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a recognized subject matter expert (SME) in manufacturing assembly in power electronic equipment and components, to join our team in Europe, to work in our in-house inverter assembly project.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Expert in Assembly of Power Electronics, you will add value by developing, standardizing and implementing standards for Inverters in prototype and series stage of Product Industrialization. Adds Manufacturing Know How and expertise for concept and supplier development for Build to Specification (BtS) and Build to Print solutions (BtP) of Inverters. Aligns Manufacturing / Industrialization relevant items between suppliers and inhouse Product Industrialization. Establish the conditions for Inverter assembly and integration of Box and EMS solutions. Screens industrial peers for updates and innovation in process developments. Responsible for Know-How Transfer between Process Development Hub and Production Locations.

Detailed Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Development and Release of Assembly & Manufacturing Process Standards related to Inverter
    • Setting up of Process Specification & Requirements in cross functional alignment considering:
    • Process Flow & Layout / Parameters / Tools / Fixtures / Cleanliness / ESD
    • Process Quality assurance criteria’s: Machine/Process signoffs, Process control/Quality Gates, Rework strategy
    • Assembly line Flexibility / Scalability / Automation
    • Process Key-Cost-Drivers, Invest
  • Drive:
    • Hand-in-hand development of Product and Process by applying Design for Manufacturing principles
    • Problem Solving & Continuous improvement actions, FMEA process
    • Process Technology development by reaching out to market innovations
  • Support of:
    • Quotation team for new projects by assisting in preparation of Invest / Tooling / Capacity / Process-costs
    • Know-how transfer to global sites

 

Who you’ll be:

To be successful in this position, you should be a manufacturing expert with an extensive proven experience within the Automotive industry, especially with power electronic equipment and components.

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master of Mechatronics Engineering, Process & Automation or similar
  • Work experience from comparable technical field with competence in process industrialization requirements
