Role Purpose & Value

GKN Automotive is undergoing a significant transformation process. To drive this process among all our functions and product lines we are searching for a Manager Transformation Projects. This role will play an instrumental part in shaping and implementing GKN’s portfolio of transformation projects on a global level and will serve as a consultant and expert in the respective project to the Leadership Team.

Detailed Description

What You’ll Do

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Support the Director Transformation Projects in steering the portfolio of projects
  • Continuously track, monitor and report performance and health of the transformation project portfolio and propose recovery actions, as needed
  • Drive selected projects or cross-functional workstreams within our strategic projects in the fields of business development, operations, procurement, engineering
  • Conduct analyses of core business processes, identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Prepare the business rationale and decision proposals for new strategic projects
  • Support the annual strategy process to refine the strategic priorities for GKN Automotive
  • Support the communication and reporting of the status of the project portfolio to the Executive Team and other stakeholders

What You’ll Need

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Management
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy, which includes operations and transformation programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with affinity for numbers
  • Highly structured and collaborative way of working
  • Good business acumen and quick perception; willing to deep dive into a variety of topics as needed
  • Strong communications skills at all levels
  • English language skills required, German beneficial
