Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Electrical:
    • Able to read complex electrical schematics and hardwire prints
    • Able to wire to hardwire prints and troubleshoot electrical systems
    • National Electrical Code (a plus)
    • Test equipment
    • Multiple meters and amp probe
    • Proficient in practical wiring for new equipment to prevent future issues
  • Mechanical
    • Basic understanding of and ability to repair or replace: belt drives, gear boxes, gibs, hydraulic units, pumps, cylinders, pneumatic systems, chain drives, bearings, bushings
    • Basic welding techniques, stick, tig, mig, gas (as required)
    • Fabricate to blueprint specifications (as required)
    • Troubleshoot all mechanical systems
    • Practice safe lifting and rigging techniques

Detailed Description

  • Control System
    • Troubleshoot PLC’s and CNC’s
    • Diagonstics of equipment utilizing PC programs for the efficient repair
    • Electrical test equipment
    • PC interface to various controllers
    • Troubleshoot and repair stand-alone electronic equipment
  • PdM/PM
    • High degree of understanding of predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, fluid analysis, thermographic and ball bar analysis)
    • Understands and applies predictive and preventative maintenance techniques
    • Develops, performs, and improves preventative maintenance tasks in assigned areas
    • Identify repetitive failures and implements corrective actions.
  • Team Lead Duties
    • Fill in for absenteeism, vacations, or other manpower shortages. Provide relief when operators need to be away from their work area.
    • Provide input to the manager or Supervisor on daily staffing, rotation, and scheduling decisions including coverage for breaks, lunches, etc.
    • Facilitate Team Start of Shift meeting and End of Shift review meeting for assigned areas and participate in other site communication meetings as necessary.
    • React to abnormalities by utilizing Quick Response Quality Circle (QRQC) and escalate when needed.
    • Update daily metrics on the PVD board.
    • Promote and maintain a positive team atmosphere by coaching, recognizing, rewarding, and providing constructive feedback to the team.
    • Provide input to manager on employee performance and development.

Qualification 

High School Diploma or Equivalent

At least 6+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience is required.    

Effective communication skills with team members at varying levels.

Desirable 

Work effectively in a team environment.

Lean techniques and Kaizen activities.
