Detailed Description

Essential Functions 

  1. Ensure the necessary continuous improvement competencies for the staff to perform their jobs.
  2. Facilitate and implement improvement systems for staff engagement.
  3. Build skills in the use of Lean techniques and tools within the value chain.
  4. Manage the value chain continuous improvement process.
  5. Administer, manage and lead lean projects.

Essential Qualifications

  • B.S Degree Engineering or related.
  • Master´s Degree or Equivalent Level desirable.
  • English proficiency.
  • Visa and Passport desirable.
  • 5 years minimum on Automotive industry on lean manufacturing or manufacturing areas. 

Essential Experience

The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the following:

  • Have been involved in the implementation of lean facilitators (Value Stream Mapping, kaizen, SMED, BPI's, 5S's, etc.), in the integration of self-directed or high performance work teams.
  • Have lead and/or implemented savings projects.

 

Essential Competencies

  • Ability to lead change through others.
  • Ability to take teams from the storming stage to high performance by defining and implementing team improvement strategies.
  • Use of competency-based workforce development management.
  • Knowledge of OHSAS.
  • Management of Health and Safety legislation (country, sector and benchmark).
  • Handling of risk analysis, Think Safe and Safe Start.
  • Knowledge of management through collaborative systems.
  • Use of work climate diagnostic systems.
  • Application of staff engagement models.
  • Knowledge of recognition systems for operational and service personnel. 
  • Application of the philosophy and tools of the Lean Enterprise Model.
  • Management of personnel development and training procedures.
  • Knowledge and skills for value chain management.
  • Training event facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving methodology.
  • Application of Core Tools.
  • Application of business process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in the design and development of work systems.
