The Role:

Successful candidate will lead the articulation of current and future business needs, development of IT plans and roadmaps, and builds sponsorship, business cases, and readiness of the business to adopt new technology and ways of working, and through working as a member of One IT Leadership Team the development and coordination of infrastructure and software to enable execution of business processes, achieve business transformation and value.

Who you’ll be:

Successful candidate will:

  • Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization

Supports the definition of IT strategy for the enterprise that embeds digital assets and capabilities, supporting the design and implementation of digital strategy and organization, process, and policies. Lead analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the enterprise architecture is synchronized with ever-changing business needs and the complexity of digital transformation.

  • Business & Functional Strategy Formation 

Develop the strategy for significant areas of the enterprise through business partnering team, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities. Ensure the strategy is successfully implemented and meets medium-term business needs. Develop and gain agreement to annual IT business plans for the functions ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration

  • Information and Business Advice

Provide authoritative specialist advice to the IT and Business leadership Teams, to guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of projects and change

  • Budgeting

Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy

  • Leadership and Direction 

Communicate the function's IT strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement 

Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.

  • Performance Management 

Manage and report on the performance of the Business Partnering Team (currently 5 but expected to grow); set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual objectives.

  • Organizational Capability Building 

Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of the enterprise.

Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the IT organization through mentoring and other informal methods.

 

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Master's Degree or Equivalent Level. A Finance qualification and/or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames (Over 10 years).

  • Operates as expert to orient work in a workflow to plan, organize, and execute the steps it takes to achieve a goal to achieve higher efficiencies. Typically known as a subject matter authority.

  • Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and business challenges (More than 10 years). Experience in financial systems will be important.

  • Acts as established expert to develop solutions based on an understanding of the business environment and objectives.

  • Acts as established expert on costing, budgeting and finance tasks.

  • Creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful. For example, inspires people to develop breakthrough solutions; invests and takes risks to lead cutting-edge innovations. Establishes systems that encourage and reward partnering with others to innovate, ensuring that varied perspectives are included.

  • Paints a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action. For example, makes the vision real for others and encourages people to buy in; paints an engaging and illuminating picture of future possibilities for the team.

  • Builds strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. For example, mentors others on how to build effective teams; takes actions to correct dysfunctional teams. Ensures that the team has the right mix of skills; leverages individual strengths effectively.

  • Applies expertise on analyzing data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations and acts on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

  • Uses expertise to act on managing projects and/or programs within desired cost, time and quality parameters and negotiates as established expert to help the organization by obtaining consensus between two or more internal or external parties who may have different interests.

 

Language Skills: 

Proficiency of English is a must. Knowledge of any, other language will be a plus. 

 

Travel Requirements: 

This role will require regular travel to our HQ in London (once per month) and global, business sites.
