Role purpose

The Human Resources Business Partner will work within an HR team under the leadership of the HR Manager. Working directly with the People Managers on the business agenda and strategy you will drive performance management, ensuring career development and proactively managing human capital to ensure effective change management and facilitate a positive work environment where open communication is embedded into our culture.

What You’ll Do

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Work within established procedures to achieve strategic and department goals by implementing policy and assuring compliance
  • Contribute to the Human Resources framework and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee on- and offboarding, and retention of talent.
  • Partner with key leadership with communication and business processes.
  • Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, outside of complex issues. 
  • Presentation of HR KPI reporting and data analytics including identifying trends and contributing to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance. 
  • Employee relations with leadership, salary and hourly employees. Resolve basic issues and determine when investigation and referral should be given.
  • Data entry in various systems including Kronos UKG timekeeping, Oracle HRIS, and ADP. 
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education. 
  • Function in a global matrix which includes HR Services support and Centers of Excellence.
  • Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues

What You’ll need

  • 4-year Degree in business/human resources or equivalent study and/or experience
  • Prefer 2 - 5 years of experience, in manufacturing - specializing in engineering or automotive industries.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-pace, high-volume, high-caliber environment
  • Prefer SHRM-CP or PHR certifications
  • Strong time management & organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – in particular Outlook, Excel
  • Must have experience and/or knowledge in recruitment of hourly and salaried talent.
