What’s the role about?

We are hiring an Engineering Programme Manager to join our Engineering team, supporting the ePowertrain (ePT) Business Unit. The role could be based in Bruneck (Italy) or Zumaia (Spain) and is reporting into the Head of Engineering Programme Management EU.

In this Role you are leading leading the engineering execution of electromechanical system projects for different OEMs, managing all engineering deliverable within the defined timing, costs, and technical scope. Being responsible for the alignment of all project activities, budget and resource planning throughout the whole lifecycle and including applications, core development and margin improvement projects, working in close collaboration with the OEMs and Engineering Domains. Acting as engineering single point of contact for the project towards the customer, the programme cross functional team and towards Management. Supporting global alignment of ways of working and processes under the guidance of the Head of Engineering Programme Management.

Detailed Description

What will you do?

  • Lead the execution of and manage all engineering deliverables for all assigned programmes (development, margin improvements and D-Stage projects) in adherence to DES, CAPM and ASPICE processes. Lead engineering programme reviews and initiate lessons learned sessions as required.
  • Coordinate hunting opportunities in line with C0 RACI, process description and deliverables demand, ensuring seamless NBA-Q approval process
  • Set engineering project targets with all relevant stakeholders for all assigned programmes
  • Act as single point of contact for the project for all Engineering topics toward other GKN functions and the customer
  • Identify and communicate the engineering resource requirements for the assigned projects and align with line management to ensure availability of committed resources
  • Ensure the change management process is applied during project execution, reviewing all engineering inputs and leading the approval process for engineering content
  • Represent project management and all MAN.X processes during ASPICE assessment for assigned project(s)
  • Ensure timely project reporting according to established project governance
  • Ensure timely and effective escalation and risk mitigation action definition according to GKN engineering escalation processes.
  • Ensure overall project budget and efforts planning as well as spending tracking for assigned projects in accordance with the established DoA and governance

 

What are we looking for?

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product development or adjacent department
  • Product, Manufacturing, Software and Electrical HW process experience
  • Customer experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge and experience within relevant development tools and processes                                             
  • Industry Sector/Market Knowledge
  • Leadership Skills
  • Process Knowledge (ASPICE, ISO 26262, CAPM)
