Detailed Description

The Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer “Complex Drivers Expert” who will support GKN ePowertrain AWD/eDrive Product development.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Capture and analyse Software requirements from customer and mechatronic
  • Develop, integrate & verify low layer “Complex Device Drivers” (CDD) for actuator and sensor control (including. detailed design, coding, static analysis, module testing, ).
  • Support integration of CDDs by application software
  • Collaborate with actuator controls software team for adapting high level controls to the embedded system, e.g. electrical control loops, retroactive electrical effects by mechatronic system,
  • Liaise closely with Electrics/Electronics team on ECU and actuator / sensor interfaces and
  • Analyze software issues related to
  • Support SW Project Leader on software development planning and
  • Support SW team leader on process & tool
  • Provide expert support to customer and other internal

 

Who you’ll be:

To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in Automotive domain and hands on experience in developing complex device drivers preferably in automotive powertrain or chassis applications


 

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required Essential Skills

  • Engineering or Post Graduate Engineering degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain
  • Strong Embedded Software knowledge on Low Layer actuator and sensor control, preferably in automotive powertrain or chassis applications..
  • Good knowledge of Microcontroller architecture (Aurix or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with customers and
  • Proven communication, team working and organisational talents.
  • Hunger for continuous learning, growth and
  • Good English and German language skills (reading & writing)
  • Matlab / Simulink knowledge would be

 

Tool Skills

 

  • PTC Integrity
  • Tessy
  • Polyspace
  • Experience in using Debuggers like iSystems or Lauterbach or equivalent
  • Experience is using Digital Oscilloscope

 

Language Skills

Must be fluent in English
