Estalished in 2020, our Global Business Services (GBS) is located at the heart of Porto (Hipercentro Areosa Business Park), where our 300+ employees provide support on a global level within areas of Finance, Procurement, HR and IT (to name a few).

The Role:

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to the Workstream Lead and Project Team on the as-is end-to-end business processes that are aligned to their workstream.
  • Assist in making business decisions relating to system implementation, modification, maintenance, etc.
  • Manage process performance evaluation and analysis provided by the standard Basware dashboard. 
  • Review findings with the Global Business Process Owner to identify systemic opportunities that arise.
  • Collate or create As-Is process documentation.
  • Develop process training material and support implementation on training.
  • Responsible for driving the day-to-day activities within their stream in accordance with the overall programme plan.
  • Coordinate and direct the work / activities of all team members (core and extended) within their stream
  • Identifies and escalates constraints, risks and issues to the Project Manager via the RAID log and report bi-weekly on the workstreams overall progress
  • Delivery of detailed functional requirement and respective documentation. Documents interpretation of standard operating procedure to specific plant ERP process and recommends any variation or adjustment to standard operating procedure to the Global Business Process Owner.
  • Works alongside the IT Business Analyst to convert detailed process in a given ERP environment to system configuration requirements.
  • Contributes to and co-ordinates resource for User Acceptance Testing.  Reviews and contributes to system integration testing.

 

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable roles in a GBS environment
  • Coordination skills, experience with leading team members.
  • Experience in Process mapping is a plus
  • Experience in Project management is a plus
  • Proficient in accounting systems and softwares (Basware, QAD, other ERPs).
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Familiar with financial documentation
  • Structured and critical thinking
  • Good communication skills and English proficiency (verbally and writing)
  • Good collaboration skills to manage several project stakeholders
  • Capability to anticipate scenarios, tracking project deliverables, identify issues, dependencies and risks timely according to project planning to meet defined deadlines and timely escalate to GPO.
  • Can-do and positive attitude
